Happy Halloween everyone! Callie was the cutest pumpkin! We had a blast at the pumpkin festival today in downtown Franklin and then took Callie trick or treating at Grandma and Grandpa's house. After that we ate Nana's yummy chilli and Callie, Mommy, and Nana went to Aunt Ang's and Uncle Jay's house to see the big kids trick or treat. Callie loves her cousins! Paw Paw and Daddy went to see the Preds play hockey. Here are a few pics from our day.

Callie loves the pups!
Callie really loves Harley and Chopper. Everytime she sees them she just giggles. She has started interacting with them more. She loves to grab at their face... of course we are right beside her and never leave her unattended with them. I am so glad that the pups are so good with her. I was worried about them being jealous of her. Now we just have to get Obie to like Callie. Obie is Grandma and Grandpa's puppy. He just gets too excited around her right now. She will also get to meet Mimi and Poppy's puppies soon too. They have a boxer and a boston terrier and are welcoming a new baby boxer into the family today! She is going to grow up with so many slobbery kisses! I love it. Of course we will have to teach her that not every dog is like ours and they may not like kids so she shouldn't ever go up and grab them.
Happy Halloween everyone! We will post pics of her in her Halloween costume tonight!

When do we start saying "NO"?
There is less than 2 weeks until Callie turns 6 months. I am torn because she is so small and still just a baby, but there are a few times when I want to tell her "no." At what age do we introduce this word? I don't ever want to tell her no because my heart just melts everytime I look at her. Last night when we were rocking before bed, she started grabbing my face really hard. She is really starting to grab at everything and its wonderful because she is learning and exploring. But I kept moving her had away from my lip that she kept squeezing. So very calm and quietly, I moved her hand and said, "No, No that hurts Mommy's face." Well she just thought that was the most hilarious thing and just giggled! It was so funny. Normally we have to tickle her or make faces at her to get her to laugh out loud. Chopper also makes her laugh. So, my first attempt at telling her "no" she laughed at me. I had to get Mike to come downstairs (the Preds were on so he was watching the game upstairs on the big screen). So Mike tried it out and told her "no." Well she just laughed at him too! I don't know what it is about the word "no" that makes her laugh so much. Geez, I can already see myself being one of those mommies that has a hard time saying the word! I gotta be strong! But for now, she can still do anything that she wants and get away with it ;) These pictures are from her 3 month photo shoot with Wendy Tate. Our 6 month photoshoot will be on Nov. 6!

Callie's first trip to the beach!
Rice Cereal!!! Yummy!!!

Last weekend we took Callie to Nana and Paw Paw's condo at Orange Beach. She is a great little traveler and did great away from home. She really didn't care much for the sand or the water. It scared her a little. Next year will be much more fun for her. She will be able to swim and run around the beach. Julie came to the condo as well and we went down to the Shrimp Festival while Nana watched Callie (it was way too hot for her to be out) and Daddy and Paw Paw golfed. We stopped in Birmingham on our way home to meet Baby Knox. He is so sweet and Jill looks great!
So I finally figured out our blog problems but unfortunately we had to delete the old posts. But now we will be able to update you all on sweet Callie. She is now 5 and a half months old and is full of energy. We just now got her to take a nap during the day! She is sleeping pretty good at night but still wakes up once to eat. She was 11lbs 3.5 oz at the last doctors visit. She is still in the 3rd percentile for weight and the 5-10 percentile for height. She is eating rice cereal and gerber 1st foods (some veggies and fruit.) She is so precious and has the most beautiful smile. I will have to post some pics of her smile... the beach pics she looks terrified!
Mommy and Daddy just celebrated our 28th birthday... yikes! We feel so loved with all the calls, cards, texts, emails to wish us Happy Birthday. Thanks everyone! Daddy is still working hard from home and Mommy is part time at the good ole Pier 1. Hopefully when the cold and flu season passes, I can use my CNA and get a job in a hospital and maybe in the future finish my RN. I just worry about bringing home germs to Callie so I am just gonna wait it out. (even though the Pier has germs too.) Ever since I became a mommy, I also became a germiphobe. I am just really super protective of our little one!
I look forward to updating our blog often! Check back soon!
